WHEN YOU WISH UPON A STAR...

A solid theme for any given work or project helps to shape the project as a whole, set the scene, and give heartfelt inspiration to every aspect of the work. My senior portfolio theme is derived from two interests that have stuck with me through the years and represent parts of who I am. The first facet of my theme is music. Since I was a toddler, music has been a staple in my life, particularly singing. I enjoy expressing myself through the music I sing and play, and it’s my favorite way to honor God through worship. Psalm 40:3 reads, “He put a new song in my mouth, a hymn of praise to our God. Many will see and fear the Lord and put their trust in him.” Through my love of music and love of the Lord, I hope to minister and bring others to Him as well.
Along with my love of music, I also have a love for fantasy, namely, Disney. Disney Princess songs were some of the first I learned to sing and the enchantment of the franchise has never left me even in my last year of high school. The magic and wonder of their stories have also inspired me to invest myself in writing and other creative endeavors. Through my childhood and onto adulthood, Disney is something that I’ve never grown out of, and in a way, it’s helped shape who I am today.
