A person in my life who has had a significant influence on me as an individual is my mom. Throughout my childhood and teen years, my mom has always been right there, cheering me on. She encourages me to spend my time wisely, trains me in various skills, and supports me in all of my endeavors. In our house, she is the model of a hard worker. With her entrepreneurial skill set and willpower, she shows me every day that it is possible to make a career out of doing what you love. Since her workload is always constant, she has given me various jobs over the years which have helped me develop my own set of skills. Although sometimes she has a “tough love” approach, she is constantly building me up to be more responsible and independent. From what I can tell, God has been using her to further His kingdom and I would like to do the same in my own way.
